Following a brief business meeting, guest speaker Alex La Pierre will speak on the history of Padre Kino.

Alex is the founder of Borderlandia, a binational organization committed to building public understanding of the borderlands. His professional experience spans the nonprofit sector and government, including work with the National Park Service in New Mexico and Arizona in historic preservation and interpretation. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Alex has focused his studies and research on the Hispanic cultural heritage of the American Southwest and Mexico.
